Java Edition hosting is mainly for PC players (Windows, macOS, Linux). It’s more flexible, supports mods and plugins like Spigot, Paper, and Forge, and is the preferred choice for custom servers and communities.

Java servers usually need more RAM and CPU, especially if you’re running mods. Bedrock servers are more optimized and use fewer resources, which can make them cheaper to run.

If you care about modding, Java Edition is unbeatable. Bedrock has add-ons, but they’re limited compared to Java mods and don’t offer the same level of customization.
