CHOWN - How To change the ownership of a File/Folder

    Hello All,

In order to change the ownership of a file/folder one need to use CHOWN command. Below mentioned is the syntax for the same:

    Syntax:

    chown [-R] newowner filenames

-R Change the ownership for file/folder that does reside in the subdirectories of the directory.

newowner The alias/username of the new owner of the file.

filenames The file that you are changing the ownership.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
