Error – invalid maildirsize file

We were receiving error “invalid maildirsize file” while trying to update the email accounts quota from cPanel. We followed below steps to correct this error:
1. Login to server via SSH as root.
2. Navigate to path /mail/domain.com/emailuser.
3. From this directory, delete/rename the file “maildirsize”
4. Once this file is deleted/renamed, the system will automatically create a new maildirsize file at the same place and you should be able to change the quota of email account now.
Note: change domain.com/emailuser with the exact domain name and email account name.
