Following are the steps to Recover Data from RAID-Based NAS.

    1. Shut down the RAID NAS and then terminate all hard drives from it. Note the series in which they are aligned in the frame.

    2. Combine all NAS RAID drives to Windows PC through USB or SATA. Remember to attach all drives at one time.

    3. Install and run Stellar Data Retrieval Technician software on the system.

    4. Choose what to recover – photos, audio, videos, documents, emails, or other files and folders.

    5. Click Next > RAID Recovery > Select Location > Scan

    6. Under the ‘RAID Reconstruction’ window, click either the RAID 0, 5, or 6 tabs (whatever the configuration your RAID NAS had).

    7. From the listed disks under the RAID list box, move RAID disks to the ‘Move hard drives up/down for disk demand’ list box using the left-right arrow buttons.

    8. Use the up-down arrow button adjacent to the list box to set disks in the correct order as they existed in the RAID stack.

    9. Choose the ‘Stripe/Block size’ from the drop-down and click ‘Build RAID.’

    10. ‘Select Constructed RAID > Show Volume List > Select Volume to Recover Data > Scan > Deep Scan > File Type> checkboxes > Recover > Browse

    11. Click the ‘Start Saving’ button to save the chosen files and folders at the specified place.

Note: Make sure not to choose the drive in the RAID NAS array (now connected to your PC). Choose an external HDD or internal hard drive with enough storage space to save retrieved data.
