How do I fix launcher crashes or resource pack compatibility issues?

What are the best ways to troubleshoot launcher crashes or resource pack compatibility problems in minecraft game?

I keep running into crashes when I enable certain resource packs. First thing I check now is whether the pack actually matches the game version. A lot of older packs still “work” but crash on load.

Same here. Also worth checking if the pack got corrupted while downloading. I’ve had packs crash every time until I deleted them and downloaded again.

Not sure if this helps everyone, but increasing RAM in the launcher fixed most of my crashes. Big texture packs seem to push memory pretty hard.

When nothing works, I back up my worlds and reinstall. It’s annoying but faster than spending hours guessing.
