NID: NIDs stands for Network Intrusion Detection Systems are unique identifiers that are used to recognize the particular system and portion of that network administrators, security, and communication between devices on the network. NIDs are used for some purposes for checking the network security, administrator, and communication between the devices.

HID: HID stands for Host Intrusion Detection System, which establishes device drivers for investigation and warranty claims. When you interconnect a modern hardware device with your computer, HIDs recognize which driver is using your device to identify it. HIDs only take Serial Numbers, MAC addresses, and Device IDs.

Here are the differences between the NIDs and HIDs:

    HIDs NIDs
Definition HIDs are unique identifiers used for hardware devices. NIDs are unique identifiers used for network devices only.
Type HIDs are for only using a single device. NIDs are regularly assigned to the networks, and they are used by a number of devices connected to that network.
Location HIDs are stored on a local computer or device. NIDs are put into the network for multiple devices.
Format HIDs used the alphanumeric string as their IDs. NIDs are used only numerically for the IDs.
Usage HIDs are used for driver establishment as well as troubleshooting and claims. NIDs are used for network administrators and secure communication between devices.
Purposes HIDs are used for specific hardware devices. NIDs are used for network establishment.
