How to select WordPress Hosting plan?

    VPS Hosting
When choosing a WordPress hosting plan, how do you decide how much disk space you really need? Do you go by current site size, future growth, or just pick what the host recommends?

I’d say start by checking your current site size, you can see it in your WordPress dashboard or through your cPanel file manager.
Most basic WordPress sites (with a few pages, images, and plugins) stay under 2–3 GB easily. But if you’re adding lots of media or products later, you’ll definitely need more.

Agreed. Always plan for future growth. Even if your WordPress website is small now, adding backups, themes, and plugins eats up space fast.

I usually recommend at least 10–20 GB for small to medium sites to be safe.

What I do is start with the plan that fits my current need but with easy upgrade options.

Most good hosts let you scale up anytime, so no need to overpay from the start.

If you use a lot of high-res images or videos, that’s where storage gets tight. You can save space by using image optimization plugins or CDNs to offload static files.

That way, you don’t need massive local disk space.
