A heatmap is a visual tool that displays user interactions on your WordPress website using color gradients. Areas with high engagement, like frequent clicks or prolonged viewing, appear in warmer colors (reds and oranges), while less engaged areas show cooler tones (blues and greens). This visualization helps you quickly identify which parts of your site attract attention and which are overlooked.

First, create a free account on Microsoft Clarity. Then add your website name and URL. Follow the steps and then click ‘Add New Project’ to complete the setup.

After you’ve added your website, next Install the Microsoft Clarity plugin on WordPress
      • Go to your WordPress dashboard
      • Navigate to Plugins > Add New
      • Search for Microsoft Clarity
      • Click Install Now, then Activate the plugin

      • Go to the Clarity settings in your WordPress admin menu.
      • Select the project you just created on the Clarity website.
      • Within a few seconds, you’ll see a message saying “Project integrated successfully.” That means you’re all set!

Once Microsoft Clarity is connected to your site, it automatically begins tracking your visitors.

You can then head over to your Clarity dashboard, where you'll find detailed reports showing how people are interacting with your WordPress site or blog.

        Heatmap helps you to:
        • Identify which elements users click on most.
        • Understand scrolling behavior to see if visitors reach important content.
        • Detect areas causing confusion or disinterest.
        • Optimize layout and content placement for better engagement.
