How to change a theme in WordPress

I want to change my WordPress Theme. What is the actual process of switching the theme on a WordPress site?

To change your WordPress theme, follow these steps:

• Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
• Go to Appearance > Themes.
• On the Themes page, you will see the currently active theme, as well as any other themes if you want to install then Click on the Add New button and search for the theme you want to use Click on the Install button for the theme you want to use.
• To change the theme, hover over the theme that you want to use and click the Activate button.
• Alternatively, you can also install a theme from a zip file by clicking on the upload theme button, on the same page, then browse your computer for the zip file, then install and activate.
• After activating the new theme, you may need to customize the settings and reconfigure widgets and menus as they may not carry over from the previous theme.

Make sure you have a complete site backup in place before continuing. This is essential because if something goes wrong, you can easily restore it.
