It depends on the size and traffic of your store. Shared hosting can work for small e-commerce sites, but performance and security should be a priority.

I’ve seen small e-commerce sites run just fine on shared hosting, but there are a few things to watch for. A provider with SSD storage, proper caching, and decent resource limits helps a lot.

Security is a big deal, too. An SSL certificate is a must, but you’ll also want DDoS protection, malware scanning, and a firewall. Also, check if the plan supports your e-commerce platform—WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, etc.

It can be okay for a small store starting out, but for growth, security, and speed, VPS or cloud hosting is a much better option.
