Can Shared Hosting Handle Traffic Surges?

    VPS Hosting
Shared hosting is budget-friendly, but when traffic spikes, does it actually hold up?

Shared hosting can handle some traffic spikes, but it depends on the hosting provider and their resource allocation. If the server is well-managed, minor surges shouldn’t be a big issue.

Yeah, but since multiple sites share the same server, a sudden surge could slow things down. Some hosting providers offer resource balancing and caching to handle these spikes better. A CDN can also help distribute the load efficiently. If your provider includes features like server-side caching and optimized configurations, shared hosting can still perform well even with increased traffic.

I’ve seen shared hosting work fine during promotions or seasonal spikes. Just make sure your provider doesn’t oversell resources.
