How do freelancers manage multiple client WordPress sites

    VPS Hosting
I’m starting out as a freelancer, and a couple of clients have asked me to manage their WordPress websites. What’s the best way to handle multiple client sites efficiently

Congrats, @Rex Maughanon, on getting your first clients!

I’ve been managing 10+ WordPress sites for a few years now, and the key is to centralize everything.
I use ManageWP to handle plugin updates, backups, uptime checks, and performance reports, all from a single dashboard.

      Agree with @Annie_P.

Also, make sure your sites are hosted on reliable managed WordPress hosting; that’s half the battle won.

Good hosts handle automatic backups, updates, and malware scanning so you can focus on your clients’ business instead of fixing issues.

If you’re growing your client list, look into Reseller Hosting or WordPress Hosting for Agencies. I switched to an agency plan, and it’s a lifesaver.

You can host multiple sites under one dashboard, manage resources easily, and even give clients separate access if needed. It’s perfect if you’re handling client websites professionally.

Totally! Reseller or agency plans give you flexibility as you scale. With a reseller plan, everything is centralized, and you can even brand it under your freelancing business.

If you work with multiple developers or designers, staging environments are super helpful. You can test site updates or redesigns safely before pushing them live.

Most well-managed hosts offer one-click staging with their agency plans.
