Why is my theme not showing the customizer options?

If your theme customizer suddenly disappears, it might be because you’re using one of those new block-based themes with full site editing (FSE). This functionality is still relatively new, and many themes do not yet support it.

So, if you switch to a theme that doesn’t use full site editing, the customizer menu will come back. After switching, just go to Appearance > Customize in your WordPress dashboard, and you’ll be able to use it like before.

To access the old theme customizer in WordPress, add this to your admin URL:

yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/customize.php

Replace yourwebsite.com with your domain.

-> If your theme uses full site editing, customization options will be limited.
