A critical error in WordPress happens when something like a plugin, theme, or custom code breaks, causing the site to stop working.

This usually means WordPress can’t load the files it needs to run the website, so instead of loading normally, it shows an error message.

      How to Fix It?

      1. Check Your Email

WordPress automatically sends an email to your admin address when a critical error occurs. The subject will say: “Your Site is Experiencing a Technical Issue.”

This email explains what caused the error, like a faulty theme or plugin and includes a special link to access Recovery Mode, where you can log in and fix the issue.

It also shows the exact file and line of code that triggered the problem.

      2. Fix It Manually (If You Didn’t Get the Email):
      • Disable all plugins via FTP or File Manager
      • Switch to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One
      • Reinstall WordPress core files
      • Increase PHP memory limit
