This markup isn’t visible on your website’s front end but is embedded in the source code, providing search engines with key details like event date, time, location, and ticket information.
By improving your SEO, event schema helps your event appear in relevant searches, increasing visibility and attracting a more targeted audience interested in attending.
Method 1: Using a Plugin- Install and Activate AIOSEO:
- Navigate to your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New, search for "All in One SEO," and click Install Now. After installation, click Activate.
- Configure Event Schema Settings:
- Open the post or page dedicated to your event.
- Scroll to the AIOSEO Settings section at the bottom.
- Click on the Schema tab, then select Generate Schema.
- Choose Event as the schema type.
- Fill in the event details, including:
- Name: Title of your event.
- Description: Brief overview of the event.
- Start Date and End Date: Specify the event's duration.
- Location: Provide the venue's name and address.
- Organizer: Enter the organizer's name and website.
- Offers: If applicable, detail ticket pricing and availability.
- Save and Test:
- After entering all necessary information, save your changes.
