How to change root user password from command prompt in Linux?

    Hello All,

In order to change the root user password from command prompt one need to login into command prompt as root user and execute below mentioned command:

    [root@root ~]# passwd

Once the above mentioned command fire it will ask new password at new line. Apply the details to change the password.

    That's it!

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
