      hi all

It's true that you can buy a PC and install the server operating system on it and it will run fine. The big difference between hardware that is sold as a server and hardware that is sold as a PC is the level of quality of the components and the level of support that Dell will give you.

In my role as Network Admin at several companies we have used PCs and Servers to run server software, but only use a PC as a server if it's going to be used for testing or as a redundant server for the "real" server. If you are going to be using the equipment as the only server your company has, I definately recommend you get the real server hardware - it will pay off in the long run.

There is a huge difference between server and your PC. Server has control over other clients in the group, so you can access the other computer from server itself. But not in the case of your personal computer.

I agree with you I think that it is the complete Definition Server Can Control Other System they are also called Client PC but in case of Personal Computer You,ll be all in all

in addition, servers are of higher specifications with very high memory size than a PC. A regular PC cannot perform well when used as a server. Servers are designed to run 24/7. The components in a server can usually handle higher stress.

servers and personal computers are two separate things as server is used for connection of all its users to each other and with server as well, it has different settings and software made only for servers to keep track of all happenings in network.

PC is used for personal use as its name suggest while server offers services to various devices that are connected in a network. The speed of pc is slower than that of server.

PC stands for Personal Computer and has become the general term for all desktop computers. The term is often used loosely and is used to identify any computer that uses the AT and ATX form factor. The term SERVER is also a widely used term to describe any hardware or software that provides services meant for use in networks, whether local or wide.

The differences are the ultimate capabilities you need in a server. Server chips are capable of being used in multiples whereas desktop CPUs are not.

The CPU sockets are different; the chipsets are different, and the motherboards are also different.

Server mobos often hold 32GB memory; have multiple 64bit PCI-X buses and slots along with onboard video. Servers don't typically need anything but minimal video capabilities.

Generally speaking, PC is much likely a person who has wide scope of knowledge while serve is like a person who is specializing in a certain field (outstanding processing ability).

Pc is not suitable for the more complicated applications. The server plays a vital role and having a wide range of configurations and applications. The speed of the pc is slow compared to the server. servers can run without any interruption and handle virtual connections and can control over a number of clients.

A PC is a personal computer. It is designed for individual use and usually has many features that are not available on servers. For example, PCs typically have a lot of software installed, whereas servers do not usually have this software. Servers are also designed to be used by many people simultaneously.

Yes, you can access the software from your PC and laptop if you load it all to a dedicated server. This is a great way to keep your software updated and secure since you won't have to worry about someone stealing your software or data. Plus, you can access the software from any device that has an internet connection.

A dedicated server and a Virtual Private Server (VPS) are both types of servers that offer additional security and privacy for your online presence. A dedicated server is a single software instance that runs solely for your business. This server type is better for companies with high traffic or needing more control over their server resources. A VPS, on the other hand, is a virtualized server. That means it is not a physical machine but runs on top of one or more physical devices. It allows you to have more than one instance of software running on one physical machine, which can be helpful if you have large files or lots of traffic.
