I lot of people seem to misunderstand how search engines work and think that submitting your site will get it indexed faster. The fastest way to get indexed is to get backlinks from high ranking sites.

These sites are spidered by the search engine bots almost daily, so you new site will be picked up and spidered quickly.

Though it is not mandatory to submit your site to search engine, it is advised to do that if you don't have links on popular websites.

Mostly after submission of your website google crawls and include them in 20-30 days.
