Login issues

I have a Windows VPS hosted on AccuwebHosting for over five years. It is a fairly basic VPS with nothing fancy running on it. I used to manage it through WebsitePanel, and my client management portal still tells me to use that for management. Recently, my password stopped working, and I cannot access the panel anymore. I tried to click on Forgot Password, and it said it would send me an email, but it does not send anything. When I contacted support, they tell me that WebsitePanel is obsolete and inoperative, and I should switch to SolidCP and, by the way, upgrade my VPS as well. I have made no changes nor received any warnings that something like this would happen. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is there no way to just reset my password and continue to use WebsitePanel? The solution they are suggesting seems unacceptable to me.
