The error "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area" may occur due to several causes, encompassing driver errors, improperly installed programs or updates, RAM-related issues, and hardware problems.

    Method 1: Test the RAM.

The PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA error on your computer could be due to a loose connection or dust in the RAM slot, or it might indicate a damaged RAM stick. Therefore, I recommend running a RAM test to determine if this issue can be resolved.

Step 1: Completely power off the computer and remove the side panel.
Step 2: Remove the battery and unplug all power cords.
Step 3: Take out the RAM chip and inspect it for dust. If you find dust, clean it. If not, consider replacing it with a new RAM stick.
Step 4: Reinsert the RAM stick and restart the computer to check if the PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA error still occurs.

    Method 2: Disable Antivirus Applications

If you've recently installed antivirus software, you should disable Windows Defender or any third-party antivirus software to resolve this error.

    Step 1: Open Settings.
Step 2: Click on Updates & Security
Step 3: Now choose Windows Security

Step 4: Next, click Virus & Threat Protection.
Step 5: Click Manage settings under Virus & Threat Protection settings
Step 6: Turn off Real-time protection.

    Method 3: Update Device Drivers

Encountering the "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA" error is often associated with outdated or incompatible drivers on your computer, or it could be due to driver damage. To resolve this issue, you can either update the driver or uninstall the device. Here's how you can update your driver or uninstall the device:

Step 1: Open File Explorer and right-click on this PC to continue.
Step 2: Choose Manage to continue.

Step 3: Choose Device Manager under the System Tools option to continue.
Step 4: Right-click the disk device under Disk Drives, then choose Update driver or Uninstall Device.

Method 4: Disable Automatically Manage Paging File Size for All Drives

At times, Virtual Memory settings can cause issues on your computer. To address this, you can disable Virtual Memory through the System properties of your operating system. Here's how to disable the "Automatically Manage Paging File Size for All Drives" setting:

Step 1: Open File Explorer and right-click on "This PC," then select "Properties."
Step 2: In the System window, click on "Advanced system settings" on the left-hand side.
Step 3: Under the "Performance" section, click the "Settings" button.
Step 4: Choose Change to make changes on the Advanced tab.

Step 5: Uncheck Automatically manage the paging file size for all drives at first, then click OK to finish.

    Method 5: Run Hardware Troubleshooter

Hardware errors can cause the PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA error. Therefore, running the Troubleshooter is advisable to diagnose and identify potential hardware issues.

Step 1: Start by selecting "Settings" from the Start menu.
Step 2: On the Settings page, click "Update & Security" to proceed.
Step 3: Navigate to the "Troubleshoot" option and select "Hardware and Devices" on the right.

Step 4: Click "Run the troubleshooter" to initiate the diagnostic process.

Step 5: Allow the computer to scan for issues. If any problems are detected, the error will be displayed upon completing the scanning process. Follow the provided instructions to resolve the issue.
