What are the reasons for blocking IP address? Is there any way to know if it is blocked temporarily or permanently? Can I unblock it by myself or is there anyway to do so?

The most common reasons for blocking an IP address are:

• Conflicting with your firewall
• You made multiple unsuccessful login requests
• Because of suspicious operations
• You connected from a restricted location
• Violation of terms and services
• Malicious behavior

To check if you are blocked from accessing your server, try to log in to your web server and see if there is any connection error message that you're getting. That error may provide you with a specific reason for blocking your IP.

To determine whether an IP address is temporarily or permanently blocked, contact the website or service that has implemented the block.

Temporary blocks are more common than permanent blocks. They are often implemented to prevent suspicious or malicious activity.
They may last for some time, such as a few hours or days, or may be lifted once the activity that triggered the block has ceased.

Permanent blocks are usually implemented because of severe violations of terms of service or malicious activities. They are more challenging to lift.

You can unblock IP addresses that are temporarily banned:
After blocking your IP address, certain websites might email you to notify you of the block and explain the reasons behind it.

Moreover, you may be required to wait at least 24 hours until the server automatically unblocks your IP address. The majority of sites won't notify you for blocking. For that, here are some things you can do to unblock your IP:

• Check for Malware
• Connect from a different network/device
• Use VPN
