The dissimilarity between Blogs and Forums
There seems some confusion about the Blogs and the Forums. I will try to explain the difference between blogs and forums. At the fundamental stage they have little similarities but when we look up very deeply we can find the major difference.
The main differences between Blogs and Forums are explained below:
Blogs:
A ‘Blog’ is held by only one individual person, or a minute group of persons. There is one owner for a blog and he/she can choose the topics of entries on the blog and he/she can controls entire blog. The owner also can make restriction for the users such like reading, comments on the entries. In short, we can say that blogs are such like a simple homepage where other people may add with comments, but one person rules, blog owner, and blog owner can delete any comment he/she doesn't like. User can post a longer message (comments). If owner of the blog does not want to explore the comments then he/she can do it very easily. He/She can decide weather or not to make any message/comments visible to other user. Blogs are the history of our thinking and hence owner can take full proud about his/her blog.
Forums :
Forums can be handled by many (registered) people. In forum, any member of the forum can put his/her topic and can start the discussion. There is not any restriction such like blog, i.e. any member can reply the topic in own way. No limitation for post. Any user can be a member of the forum and can post topics, messages and add comments on the particular topic. Forums are created for the discussion between several people. When people try to use forums for the intention of writing a journal, their messages get lost in the flow of messages. But it is hard to make it sequential. People can post many short messages inside the forums. We can say that forum is a place where people can exchange messages of common interest.
